DANDARA has announced it is to expand into Edinburgh, with plans for a “high-end” residential apartment scheme close to Murrayfield.

The developer said Traquair House, based on the site of a former office development, will offer a “rare opportunity to acquire high-standard, new property within two miles of Haymarket and the city centre”.

Gavin Wyley, managing director of Dandara’s Scottish operations said, “We are now looking to engage with Edinburgh City Council, as we prepare to unveil proposals for our first residential development in the capital. The Dandara brand is synonymous with quality – and over the past six years we have received more than 20 industry awards for the high standard of architecturally innovative, environment-sensitive urban and rural developments we have delivered in Aberdeen alone.

“We are focused on replicating the success we have enjoyed in north-east Scotland in particular, by acquiring sites in and around the city which are suitable for residential, as well as Grade A office and high quality commercial premises.”
