AN East Kilbride-headquartered fit-out and refurbishment firm has opened a new office in Edinburgh to capitalise on a growing number of clients and projects in the east of Scotland.

akp’s expansion follows a series of fit outs in the Capital including the Scotch Whisky Association’s relocation to the Quartermile and an office upgrade for the Green Investment Bank. Other jobs include a fit out project at the A-listed Georgian building, The Stamp Office.

Most recently, akp secured work from the University of Edinburgh to refurbish The Porter’s Lodge.

Ian McEwan, joint managing director, said, “A series of successful projects and contract wins has made us expand our operation into Edinburgh. Our expansion shows we are serious about building our client base in the east of the country, as well as our continued commitment to our existing clients by offering them the best possible on-the-ground service.”
